Creating a MoBlog

If you are familiar with Wordpress or have a Wordpress blog then it would be much easier for you to use MoBlog. However the interface is extremely user-friendly and should not be a problem even for the first time blogger.

Step -1

Create your account by clicking the Claim your Blog Link on the Home Page or at the bottom of the Page. The best way is to type your_name.moblog.mobi on the address bar of your browser and hit go or return key on your keyboard - you will know if it is available and then proceed to register it. All you need is a valid email id to claim your blog.

Step- 2

Once you have completed the Registration you will be sent an activation link to activate your blog. While browsing from your Mobile phone simply type your blog address and browse your site

For logging into your account, check the checkbox marked “Use mobile admin interface” on the login form to use the mobile admin interface.

We have two versions of the mobile admin interface:

  • Rich: designed for the iPhone / iPod Touch and other phones supporting full Javascript and CSS featuring fancy AJAX and sliding menus
  • Lite: a lightweight, simple version designed for all other phone types (no Javascript or anything else required)

Step- 3

Once you login to your Moblog you will find all the options. For posting simply click on “Write” and then click “Post” or “Pages” depending on what you want to write. For those unfamiliar with Wordpress - we suggest you make a test post either by editing the default post or writing a new post to test the functionality from a desktop computer. We also recommend to edit the About Page and write something about your blog. Once you are Logged in you will find a edit link below each of your entries. post and pages. After Posting simply click on Publish to publish your Post or Page. You also have the option to save it for Publishing in future.

Posting

While posting from the Desktop you have many options like formatting your text and attaching pictures. However, posting from Mobile has limited functionality though we are trying to add more features shortly.
